Sun America, Inc, dba JetAmerica, is an American scheduled public charter airline based in Florida. On March 10, 2009, the airline announced a number of public scheduled charter flights from underutilized airports to Newark and Baltimore-Washington utilizing a Miami Air International Boeing 737-800 slated to begin on June 30, 2009. During mid-May, the airline's website become available and showed it had modified its route network again. Baltimore and Rockford were dropped while Minneapolis was added. The airline was in discussion with several cities to base the first aircraft from, and current schedules have that aircraft overnighting in Toledo.
The airline had planned to operate under the name Air Azul, but on May 4th, 2009. Concerns were addressed that its name was too similar to a Brazilian airline (Azul Brazilian Airlines) started by former JetBlue founder, David Neeleman. The company has since adopted the name and logo by the previous startup attempt let by John Wiekle , who formerly was the founder of Skybus Airlines.

Effective June 30, 2009, JetAmerica will operate scheduled services to the following destinations:
United States
Florida
- Melbourne (Melbourne International Airport): Service to Newark (3x weekly), Lansing (1x weekly), and Toledo (2x weekly).
Indiana
- South Bend (South Bend Regional Airport): Service to Newark (2x weekly).
Michigan
- Lansing (Capital Region International Airport): Service to Melbourne (1x weekly) and Newark (3x weekly).
Minnesota
- Minneapolis (Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport): Service to Toledo (3x weekly).
New Jersey
- Newark (Newark Liberty International Airport): Service to Lansing (3x weekly), Melbourne (3x weekly), South Bend (2x weekly), and Toledo (6x weekly).
Ohio
- Toledo (Toledo Express Airport): Service to Melbourne (2x weekly), Minneapolis (3x weekly), and Newark (6x weekly).
Fleet
JetAmerica will have a fleet of Miami Air International Boeing 737-800s with 189 seats. When the company was known as Air Azul, it was intended that it would of been a Sun Country Airlines Boeing 737-800, but financing and business plan changes altered this.
