Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. I understand your concerns with the article Kate McMillan and that it may contain erroneous information. In particular, your concern with a sentence that is un-sourced. I invite you to edit the article in a constructive manner. However, please refrain from editing the article in an unconstructive manner as you did before, as they are construed to be vandalism. Concerns? Constructive? Here's constructive: I want the fucking thing deleted. Is that clear? It has been used to as a vehicle to defame me for years. I am a private citizen who happens to run a popular blog. I do not work for media, I have never run for office, and I have never sought publication in the mainstream press.

I repeat - I want the name of someone who will take legal editorial responsibility for the content placed on this page. My email is kate@katewerk.com Use it.

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to Kate McMillan. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Jamesofur (talk) 05:31, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Kate McMillan. 2help (message me) 05:52, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Legal threat by email

I understand your concerns about the article, really I do. However the appropriate ways to deal with that are generally to post on the discussion thread and to bring it to the attention of admins or if you want to go higher the foundation itself. The reason your edit was reverted (like others that have been reverted) is because you placed commentary within the article, this is not allowed, that is the only reason. I must admit that sending me an email with a legal threat (and your earlier postings with similar threats) concern me however and I will be requesting that an administer look into the situation and hopefully in the end we will all be happy including you. I will post the link to the discussion when I am finished submitting it. Jamesofur (talk) 05:55, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Blocked for six months

This IP address is blocked from editing for six months. It has been used consistently (fixed, apparently) by a person who appears to be Kate McMillan, who has emailed a threat to sue User:Jamesofur.

Pursuant to our policy prohibiting legal threats on Misplaced Pages, this IP address is blocked for six months. Technically this should be a permanent block, but as the IP address may shift to another person over time the limited period is being used here.

Ms McMillan - you need to contact the Wikimedia Foundation staff counsel, Mike Godwin. You can contact him via email to legal-en@wikimedia.org .

If you retract the legal threat and are willing to abide by our policy on civil and polite editing and not make further legal threats, and assume good faith about participants here, this block can be undone by any Misplaced Pages administrator. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 06:49, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Misplaced Pages's blocking policy for repeated abuse of editing privileges. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
