After one season in a back up role for The Faclons, Favre was traded to the Green Bay Packers. He won a record 3 consecutive MVPs and a Superbowl. Favre was driven into an early retirement by Packers GM Ted Thompson after Thompson was hired into the organization. Thompson wanted complete control over the Packers organization and knew as long as Favre was there, he would always be the biggest star in the state of Wisconsin. After deciding to continue playing Favre was hung out to dry by the organization that he brought back to greatness and was traded to the New York Jets. After a great start, Favre was injured and the rest of the team faultered. Favre was released by the Jets after a 9-7 season, which surpassed the expectations of most NFL analysts. Favre recently signed with the Minnesota Vikings and looks to be the missing piece that can bring the Vikings to the Super Bowl. Favre holds every major NFL passing record and is widely recognized as the most entertaining player to ever step foot on an NFL field.
