TC-SST + British English
With regards to this, can you please first of all cease the personal attacks. My contributions to Misplaced Pages outside of Mitsubishi-related articles amount to 19 categories, 17 disambiguation pages, and 113 articles; I also have 13 front page DYK credits and two Good articles to my name despite my irregular contributions. You may also wish to note that I'm the author of DaimlerChrysler-Mitsubishi alliance and Katsuhiko Kawasoe, neither of which presents the company in a particularly flattering light.
Given your own edit history by comparison, exactly which one of us is the "blatant fan" of a car company?
On a completely unrelated note, who told you that European articles must use British English? British articles use British English, European articles use whatever variant of English was used by the first major contributor. You've been in violation of WP:ENGVAR and WP:RETAIN for quite some time if you've been changing VW Group articles indiscriminately in the past. --DeLarge (talk) 16:03, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Neoplan. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Misplaced Pages:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. --DAJF (talk) 09:54, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
- I did NOT add them - they were already there. Secondly, the info on the un-named truck driver was not 'libel' (as you claimed in your edit summary) - because no truck driver was named (no name - no possible cause for claiming libel, consult a lawyer if you don't believe me!); and whilst I agree it should have a citation, there was a section header banner warning, AND appropriate in-line CN tags. To NOT include information on the cause of the crash could be deemed as considerably more libelous to Neoplan - because without stating the full detail of why the coach crashed, then that could be seen as highly defamatory to Neoplan. The simple fact that the driver was convicted in a Court, along with the subsequent appeal; ie, FACTS now in the public domain, and therefore NOT libelous to the driver - means that it should be relatively easy for someone to find the citations - though somone more versed in Hong Kong might know where to find the citations. - While that may be the case, when it comes to information about living persons, you need to have all your reliable sources lined up before you add the information to Misplaced Pages. SchuminWeb (Talk) 00:07, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
- Again, someone completely missed the point! There was no individual named person! 78.32.143.113 (talk) 10:07, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

The {{TOCleft}} template
Can you please stop adding the {{TOCleft}} template to articles which have an infobox in the top right-hand corner? The template documentation states "do not place this template so that the TOC aligns with a large image or infobox; this breaks the layout on narrow screens (even users with screens as wide as 1024px wide can have problems)". Thanks, Gr1st (talk) 14:27, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Ahh, sorry, didn't realise that. So do I presume correctly that on narrow screens, the infobox retains the same pixel width, but the rest of the text is 'shrunk' width-wise? 78.32.143.113 (talk) 18:16, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Further, stop adding either TOCleft or TOCright to any article just to do so. They are not to be randomly placed. Read the documentation please. Also, flags do not belong in film infoboxes, nor should dates be linked anymore. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 18:36, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- That I had to remove a bunch of {{toc left/right pages}} from articles. But you already were notified of that. Garion96 (talk) 20:03, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Line breaks
The coding <br /> is the XHTML standard for doing a line break. The coding <br> is supposed to be deprecated. See this. Erik (talk | contribs | wt:film) 18:25, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Volkswagen Group
As I have explained on the article talk page, Volkswagen Group and Volkswagen AG are not one and the same thing. Volkswagen AG's 2008 Annual Report makes the distinction clear, particularly in the "Key Figures" page (near the front) and the "Structure and Business Activities" section (p.106). To summarise, Volkswagen Group refers to the whole group, including subsidiary companies, while Volkswagen AG is the name of the parent/holding company of the group, which is also responsible for producing Volkswagen-branded cars and commercial vehicles. It is important to differentiate between the two, especially when writing about the Group's corporate structure, activities and ownership. Letdorf (talk) 20:01, 15 December 2009 (UTC).
List of Volkswagen Group platforms
My rationale for my recent edit is this: it is inaccurate to refer to the whole Volkswagen Group as "Volkswagen AG" (as I have explained above), hence the abbreviation "VWAG" is likewise inaccurate (regardless of whether it is a commonly-used abbreviation or not). The platforms listed in this article are Group-wide platforms and not specific to Volkswagen AG, and hence referring to "VWAG coding systems" is neither correct nor useful. Doesn't that make some kind of sense? Letdorf (talk) 19:26, 22 December 2009 (UTC).
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Volkswagen Group. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. I'm afraid I think it is now necessary to raise this on WP:EWN. Letdorf (talk) 22:12, 22 December 2009 (UTC).
