Thai TV Color Channel 3 is a Thailand television channel. The headquarters are located in Bangkok, Thailand. The channel was established in 1970. The owner of the channel is BEC-TERO.

Clock Idents

All of Channel 3's clock ident were computer generated

  • The first clock ident (1987-1992) was white with black hands, red frame and TV3 logo above the 6.
  • The second clock ident (1992-2003), same as the first, but without second hand.
  • The third clock ident (2003-2005), 3D computer generated ,with antenna as background, black hands with shadow and 3D Channel *ident at 3 o'clock.
  • The last clock ident (2005), similar to the third, but with flowers as background.

After 2005 when it becomes a 24 hours station, The clock is rarely broadcast (broadcast only on special event, New Year's Eve, special announcement countdown, etc.)

Startup Sequence

Start the broadcast day

  • 4:50:00 - Testcard end, Start broadcasting the map of Thailand, Pointing at Bangkok. With some music playing.
  • 4:53:00 - Clock with the station information and current time.
  • 4:55:00 - Ident
  • 4:55:08 - Programs for the day. With theme song played on piano.
  • 4:56:00 - Program previews (sometimes the clock comes again)
  • 5:00:00 - 1st program.

Startup from feed (2009-11-01)

  • 3:20:00 - Testcard end, Start broadcasting the map of the world with Thailand in red with the speaking clock.
  • 3:29:50 - Ident
  • 3:30:00 - Continue the Chinese movie

Startup from difficulties (2009-09-16)

Start with 3 songs played on colorbars, Then the evening news program resume

The testcard CH3 is colorbars introduced in 1970.

The feed can be seen rarely. The latest feed was 2009-11-01.

  • 1970 - Started up at 9 AM and signed off at 12 PM everyday.
  • 1971 - Started up at 1 PM and signed off at 12 PM everyday.
  • 1972-1975 - Weekdays started up at 1 PM. Weekend started up at 1.30 PM. Signed off at 12 PM everyday.
  • 1976 - Weekdays started up at 1 PM. Weekend started up at 2 PM. Signed off at 12 PM everyday.
  • 1977 - Weekdays started up at 9.30 AM. Saturday started up at 10.30 AM. Sunday started up at 11 AM. Signed off at 12 PM everyday.
  • 1978-1979 - Weekdays started up at 12 AM. Saturday started up at 3 PM. Sunday started up at 8 AM. Signed off at 12 PM everyday.
  • 1980 - Started up at 12 AM everyday. Test transmission between 6.30 PM-8 PM. Signed off at 1 AM.
  • 1981-1985 - Weekdays started up at 4 PM. Weekend started up at 8 AM. Test transmission at the same period. Signed off at 12 PM everyday.
  • 1986-1989 - Same started up-signed off time, but test transmission between 6.30 PM-7.30 PM.
  • 1990 - Weekdays started up at 2 PM. Weekend started up at 8 AM. Signed off at 12 PM everyday.
  • 1991-1993 - Started up at 5.30 AM and signed off at 1 AM everyday.
  • 1994-1996 - Started up at 5.30 AM and signed off at 2 AM everyday.
  • 1997-2004 - Started up at 5.30 AM and signed off at 2 AM (Sometimes signed off at 1.30 AM or 2.30 AM)
  • 2005-present - Broadcast 24 hours everyday.
