James Maxime DuPont was a renown collector meteors. He also founded a industrial thermoplastics company. He had the largest private collection of meteors in the world at the time of his death, and they where donated to Planetary_Studies_Foundation. The Planetary_Studies_Foundation then donated them the Field_Museum_of_Natural_History, the combined collection had more than 1700 meteors and a estimated value of $3 million.
