Please rewiew the deletion of Reinaldo Ramos Suassuna
Hello Malik Shabazz!
Please double-check the criteria for the deletion of Reinaldo Ramos Suassuna. The reason for deletion was done refering to guideline A7: Article about a real person, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject (CSDH).
I do believe, that there is some importance to that person, not the highest importance, but sufficient. He is the head of one of the biggest organisations of Capoeira. He is also the only alive person mentioned in Capoeira#Important_mestres, after the two historical mestres, mentioned above.
A reader might be very interested in reading more about that person from that (now red) link onwards. I remember, that the article was not a stub at all and it had a lot of information about his influence on the past and the future of the sport.
I might be biased, because I play Capoeira myself. Still I believe, that the head of one of the biggest international organisations of a well known martial art with schools in many different countries (like USA, UK, France, Israel, South Africa, Germany, Greece and many more) is not so insignificant as not to waste the disk space on the servers. After all a good article on a fairly important person is not a loss of quality for Misplaced Pages. A deleted article though is at least a loss of quantity.
If you have more reasons for the deletion other than A7 and you do not want to restore the original article, then please let me know and give me a userfied copy of the last version on my work bench. I might want to work that article up to Misplaced Pages standards, if necessary.
Keep up the good work! Thanks! Zeptomoon (talk) 15:10, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
Article restored. Talk: page also?
Thanks for restoring that article! Is it possible to bring the Talk: page back also? I will try to clean up the article to to be able to remove the tags (notability,blp-unreferenced and essay) as soon as I find the time!
Cheers! Zeptomoon (talk) 16:51, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Deletion of "Shiteous"
Please don't delete my articles. "Shiteous" is a real word. I will respond to all civil, good faith messages. I try to make talk page messages a priority, but I'm not online 24/7, so you may not get an instant reply. However, if I am actively editing, it's reasonable to expect a reply soon. If you believe I've overlooked your message, please let me know. DeathVivaSpideyHarryPercy10 (talk) 18:53, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
A couple of things
During our discussions about The Autobiography of Malcolm X, and related articles, I am embarrassed to admit, that my conduct towards you was largely wrong. I was extremely frustrated with another user, and shamefully, a number of good folks wound up bearing the brunt of my anger. I am familiar with your work here, and you have made excellent contributions to this encyclopaedia. I made a number of comments to you that I regret. Whilst I still don't agree with the way you handled certain things, you did nothing deserved of my claim that you were "abusing your position as an admin". I would like to retract that claim, and apologise for it. Also, my sardonically asking if you wrote The Autobiography of Malcolm X was quite childish. If I have omitted anything, please consider this apology all-inclusive. All the best-Mk5384 (talk) 02:30, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Betty Shabazz GA review
Hi there, I've reviewed your GA nomination of Betty Shabazz and placed the article on hold. Regards, --BelovedFreak 20:39, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

I at last figured out how to use the Misplaced Pages e-mail system and sent some material that I think you may wish to look over. Thanks and have a great day! -OberRanks (talk) 21:18, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Misplaced Pages Campus Ambassador?
Hi there, I'm LiAnna Davis, the communications associate for the Wikimedia Foundation's new Public Policy Initiative. We are currently looking for dedicated Wikipedians near the George Washington University and Georgetown University areas to serve as Campus Ambassadors, and I hope you might be interested.
Volunteer Campus Ambassadors will provide face-to-face training and support for professors and students on Misplaced Pages-related skills, such as how to create new articles, how to add images, how the talk pages work, etc. If you're especially enthusiastic and know people on campus, you can set up Misplaced Pages-related student groups and organize "Welcome to Misplaced Pages" social events.
More details about the Misplaced Pages Campus Ambassador role can be found at http://outreach.wikimedia.org/Wikipedia_Campus_Ambassador.
The estimated time commitment for this role is 3-5 hours a week, possibly slightly more at the very beginning and very end of the semester. The Wikimedia Foundation will hold a mandatory three-day training for all Campus Ambassadors in August, and will continue to stay in contact with and offer full support for the Campus Ambassadors throughout the academic semester.
Please let us know if this is something that sounds interesting to you or if you know of any other Wikipedians near George Washington or Georgetown who could help out. Feel free to respond on Annie Lin's talk page or email her at alin@wikimedia.org (Annie is our Campus Team Coordinator).--Ldavis (Public Policy) (talk) 21:34, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Miss universe 2011
I've already tagged it but would you be able to deal with this article? It was created as a way of getting around the salted Miss Universe 2011 article that has been deleted three times. Its still all speculation, the official location announcment won't come until later this year or early next and is often changed, nothing can be confirmed until there is an official announcement from the Miss Universe Organisation. In the meantime I suspect this article is going to be a continual thorn in our side. PageantUpdater talk • contribs 13:57, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Katie McGee
You recently deleted the article on Katie Mcgee. I was not the author but believe this article did represent a notable person worthy of an article. I did add a valid reference to this article before it was deleted. Could you please arrange for this article to be be to be forwarded to me for re-instatement. Why did you delete the Ceremony (Band) section?
Why did you delete the Ceremony (Band) section? http://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Ceremony_(punk_band)&action=edit&redlink=1
They are one of the most important modern hardcore punk bands today and just released an album getting critical acclaim. See here: http://www.punknews.org/review/9437
You stated that they lack importance. they have released three full length albums, including releases on Bridge 9 records, one of the largest punk labels today. What does a band have to do to prove significance, be the Beatles?
You need to re-instate the article.Jjg264 (talk) 23:59, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Here are sources that show Ceremony is significant:
http://www.punknews.org/review/9437
http://stuckinthecity.wordpress.com/2008/06/09/an-interview-with-ceremony/

http://www.pinpointmusic.com/ceremony-rohnert-park-lp/
http://www.punknews.org/review/7599
I suggest that you lighten up on your significance criteria. Not every band has to be the Beatles or be featured on MTV to be of import.

I'm not questioning Misplaced Pages's criteria, I'm questioning your application of it. But whatever, if you want to power trip, then go ahead and power trip.

a question on notability/non-encyclopedic
Question on deletion of Third Temple addition...
I am new to editing on wikipedia. I recently attempted to make an addition to[REDACTED] articles related to the Jewish Temples in Jerusalem. My addition simply included an external link to another website featuring information on the historic location of the Temple. Admittedly, the external website is not itself notable or well-known. However, the material in the articles is concerned with providing first-hand references to historical sources and quotations of modern scholars involved in this feild so that readers interested in this subject may be thoroughly informed. The articles (at the external links that I attempted to post) include references to other notable, encyclopedic, and academic sources that do meet[REDACTED] standards and which appear regularly in[REDACTED] articles. So, I am confused as to why my additions were deleted. If there is anything I can do to alter my additions to these[REDACTED] articles, please let me know. If not, I thank you anyway for your time and effort.
Sincerely, Xamot 7:34pm, July 10, 2010 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xamot (talk • contribs) 00:35, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

Actually, if you look at the edit history of both articles, the other wiki isn't a Misplaced Pages mirror in this case; the article there was created well before the article here, and the article here has been previously deleted as being a copyvio several times. The user creating these articles (I tagged several others for the same reason) appears to be a sockpuppet of User:Boboy9, who created the first series of these copyvios and was blocked for it. Thomas Morris (Composer)
Hello! I had been talking with the editor who originally placed the speedy tag, wondering if that article (now deleted) in fact met CSD since it did list one verifiable source. Does the presence of a single, verifiable source warrant PROD instead of speedy? If so, that article may have been wrongly speedied. Just wondering; thanks for your time. :) Pianotech 11:42, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
