If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were. Any man's death diminishes me because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

I have over 1,000 pages on my watchlist. I don't have enough time to address all the problems I may spot on Misplaced Pages. For my own reference, below I'm listing various active and constructive contributors. (Don't be offended if I forgot you! I only quickly skimmed my talk page and watchlist to refresh my memory in drafting this list.)

You are now a Rollbacker!

I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback correctly, and for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Misplaced Pages:New admin school/Rollback and Misplaced Pages:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. Mifter (talk) 17:29, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

Hope to welcome you back to editing soon

Hi Miacek, as you know I am under a topic ban from interacting with EEML members, but I am saying be damned with that with you. I left some comments in relation to your appeal at http://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Amendment#Statement_by_other_editors diff. I sincerely hope we can welcome you back to editing and that we can collaborate in the future on articles of mutual interest. I believe we could do good things if we were to collaborate together. I did have one question that I asked there that I would hope you could answer, in the interest of being upfront about our intentions and editing on WP. Anyway, when the topic ban is lifted on you, which I hope is soon, please do contact me and we can collaborate on something I am sure. As usual, you can always email me if you would like to discuss anything with me in private; perhaps between the two of us, we could come up with some ideas on how to encourage bygones being bygones and all that. Cheers, --Russavia 01:30, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

Russian/Estonian missions

Thanks for posting the information on the Estonian embassy in Moscow at Talk:List_of_diplomatic_missions_in_Russia. I knew of that website, but it still doesn't really have what I need. If you look at User:Russavia/DipRel, these are the dates of the establishment of diplomatic relations of countries with Russia. After the establishment of diplomatic relations, there follows (usually) the appointment of an ambassador. After that a team of diplomats usually travel to the country to establish the actual mission. In this case an embassy. It is really this date that I need for the article. From the same link, it states:

"The permanent representation functioned till 1991, until the first post-war Ambassador of Estonia to Russia, Mr Jüri Kahn, started his duties. At the same time the work began to reconstruct the building of the soviet-style permanent representation into a modern embassy with a consular department with rooms suitable for nowadays consular work."

If Juri Kahn commenced his ambassadorial duties in 1991, this would then be the year of the establishment of the Estonian embassy in Moscow. I think I will need to find out the actual date of the commencement of his ambassadorial duties to ascertain the year of the embassy establishment.

In Pskov there is a Chancery of the SPb Consulate General - refer to List_of_diplomatic_missions_in_Russia#Consulates_in_remainder_of_Russia. Could you possibly do a search in Estonian to see what year this was established?

In Estonia I am also needing the dates of establishment of the following Russian diplomatic missions (refer to User:Russavia/DipMis):

  • Russian embassy in Tallinn - likely to be similar example to the Estonian embassy in Moscow.
  • Consulate-General in Narva
  • Consular Department/Office in Tartu

Would you mind also doing a quick search in Estonian for me on these as well?

Additionally, I am missing a photo of the Tartu consular department - do you know of any editors in Tartu whom may be able to help with that request?

All help appreciated, cheers, --Russavia 14:11, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
