Rory Kavanagh (Template:Lang-ga); is an inter-county GAA player with Donegal in Ireland. He plays with St. Eunan's in Letterkenny. He also lives in the town.
He played a vital part in Donegal's winning of their first National League title in 2007. Having spent much of the campaign on the bench, he came on as a substitute in the final against Mayo.
Education and Occupation
He was educated at St. Eunan's College in Letterkenny. In 2000 he was part of the victorious college team that brought the McLarnon Cup back to the school for a third time, the first win since 1979. He is currently a teacher at Scoil Colmcille in Letterkenny. Rory has a few beautiful sisters who have all represented Donegal at various grades. Rory has often claimed they were his inspiration and in particular Donna who "taught him everything he knows"
The Holiday
In 2010, while on holiday in Fiji, he was battered by Cyclone Tomas. In an interview with the Donegal News he described being hit on the head with a coconut and the sight of palm trees, which he described as Christmas trees, blowing down the street.
