This proposal for a "web of trust" is inspired by the mailing list thread that began with this posting by Jimbo Wales and in particular this idea by Maveric149. It has NO official status - it has an EXPERIMENT right now - please comment on its (potential) usefulness/uselessness at the talk page.
Trust table
Here users can list who they trust to make good edits (first column) and also list those who they trust to trust good editors. In the future this table might be used to create bespoke recent changes where they users you trust (directly or indirectly) are missed out, or listed in a light font)

Trust scores
These table uses the above table to give an impression of how much a user is trusted by the community at large. Unlike the above table, it is possible to "game" this table by creating fake users, so its use is more contentious. However if it works, it could become a system whereby people are automatically given more privileges if they are widely trusted.
