This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Chesdovi (talk | contribs) at 12:11, 9 March 2012 (if anything, Rachel's tomb is a former mosque). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.
This building currently functions primarily as a Jewish place of prayer and includes an on-site synagogue and ritual bath. It is unclear whether the whole structure enclosing the tomb had previously functioned as a mosque, whether only the ante-chamber adjacent to the tomb served as a mosque, or whether the location actually served not as a mosque in the conventional sense, but as a Muslim funeral chapel.
