The Centre of Gender Excellence (GEXcel) is an inter-university excellence research institution established by the Swedish Research Council in 2006. It is co-hosted by Linköping University and Örebro University. The centre hosts many internationally leading researchers in the field of gender studies.
It is one of three centres of excellence in gender studies established by the Swedish Research Council, along with centres at Uppsala University and Umeå University.
