Kostas Sakkas is a GreekAnarchistwho was charged with belonging to an unknown terrorist group and aggravated possessions of weapons after being arrested at a warehouse where arms were being held. He is now being charged for participating in the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire though both he and the C.C.F deny this He has been on a hunger strike since June 4th, 2013 in protest of his being detained for two and half years without being brought to trial

Reactions of Political Parties Sakkas' long detention period, along with the health effects of his hunger strike has led the political party Syrizato call for his release. In response to this, the New Democracy party has stated that “SYRIZA should forget the lessons in democracy" and should "stop defending all kinds of people accused of anarchy and terrorism."
