being blocked
Why will falsely claiming that you are an administrator will also result in me being blocked? Flktgfltg5tg53gg3 (talk) 19:30, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

External link
Hi Godo Dogo,
You've recently removed an external link (http://www.headnine.com/top/2013/10/10/auto-erotic-asphyxiation-possible-in-ariel-castro-death_s_41957847.html) regarding Ariel Castro death "because it seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia." (you actually removed the entire paragraph all together). I added the paragraph again with a different link to CNN. I was wondering why do you think it's an inappropriate link. The advantage of this website is that it displays in one page all the related articles from all major news sources, including related videos and tweets, which allows users to choose what source they prefer to read (or watch). This also allows get the entire picture of a news event. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ilanitz (talk • contribs) 22:10, 10 October 2013 (UTC)

Info on Understanding Air France 447 deleted
Gogo Dodo
You deleted the information I added to the Air France 447 page, when I added information about my book to the other "Independent analyses"
My book certainly complies with that and deserves to mentioned there.
The text was taken from an independent review of the book (not written or assisted by myself, but given permission to publish)
There was a link to the source of the review on amazon.com, where it was posted by its author.
Should I not have included a link to the book's location on Amazon.com as well? Otherwise how should I cite it?

Special:Contributions/178.148.130.96 is currently reverting into unsourced music genre, can you block him/her, please? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 183.171.177.145 (talk) 07:22, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
- Without appropriate warnings, a block would not be appropriate at this time. I left the IP a note regarding getting citations and a consensus for future changes. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 18:49, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
Sorry about that accident
I was not finished with the article quite yet and I accidentally uploaded it. I will make sure it is completed the next time. With complete resource links added to the article. The person it was about requested the article for having a lot of fame on YouTube. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kingdragonking954 (talk • contribs) 20:36, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
Elevator vandal
You evidently know much more than I do about edit filters. If, as you suggest, a narrowly targeted filter does not put an excessive load on the servers, it might be worthwhile. Certainly, it should be possible to target such a filter very narrowly: for example, the requirement that the page title start with "Portal talk:Current events/" would, I guess, cut out well over 99.9% of edits immediately, without looking any further. On the subject of the frequency of the edits, as I said on my talk page, in May, I worked out that the edits averaged a little more than once a week. I have just checked the number of edits from the end of May to now, and it is still running at a little more than one a week. (Of course, that is only the ones I know of, specifically the edits made using IP addresses listed at User:JamesBWatson/The elevator vandal, and for all I know there may be some more, if some cases get found and deleted by someone other than John of Reading and myself, without our knowledge. However, my guess is that I've got most of them.) Anyway, as I said, you evidently know much more than I do about edit filters, and I will leave it to you to judge whether it's worth your while creating one. There's still my request for a filter, languishing at Misplaced Pages:Edit filter/Requested#The elevator vandal, which nobody has chosen to act on. JamesBWatson (talk) 14:03, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
Hello!
I wrote this article as a surprise 70th birthday gift for my long-time boyfriend, actor Tim Jerome (https://www.facebook.com/tim.jerome1?fref=ts). It was refused/deleted for "copyright infringement" because I quoted liberally from his "Mainstreet Musicals" website. I continue to be an active contributor to and editor of the latter so it never occurred to me that reproducing his biographical info would be an issue.
What is my appropriate next step?
Thanks
Judy Rubin
