Malfoy (derived from the french for bad faith, mal and foi ) in the Harry Potter series, is the surname of three characters, the first two of whom are sometimes simply referred to by their surname:

• Draco Malfoy, Harry's nemesis at Hogwarts.
• Lucius Malfoy, his father, a Death Eater.
• Narcissa Malfoy, née Black, Draco's mother and Lucius's wife, whose sympathies lie with those of Lucius and Draco.
• Malfoy in the Culdee Fell Mountain Railway.

Another member of the family, apparently dead before the series began, was Abraxas Malfoy, Lucius's father.
