Andrew, you don't seem to read your talk page, so let me write you here. Please, do not add protection templates to pages. Since you are not an administrator, all these do is add the page to an error category. They do not provide any protection. That is simply not the way things work.
In addition, your edit to Template:L changed that template's functionality completely.
In short, I had to revert a few of your edit from today, and I'd appreciate if you could take care to avoid that in the future. You say you are a computer programmer, so please read the appropriate Misplaced Pages help (try Help:SUBJECT in the search box) and information pages (try Misplaced Pages:SUBJECT in the search box) before you make edits that others have to fix.
