Template:In the Heat of the Night episode Conspiracy of One was an episode of the television series In the Heat of the Night. Aired on February 2, 1994, the episode dealt with an ethical conflict experienced by Virgil Tibbs.

Plot summary

Virgil Tibbs accepts a position with a local law firm. Complicating matters is the fact that based on his former experiences as a police officer, Tibbs knows that a client of the law firm is guilty of murder.

Trivia

  • This is the final episode of In the Heat of the Night that Howard Rollins starred in. Rollins had been dropped as a regular after continued legal problems, although he had been invited back as a guest star for several 7th season episodes. But another arrest had led to his being banned from the county in which the series was being filmed in.
