Career
Bolton Wanderers

His fourth appearance at Oldham Athletic against Rochdale on 25 March 2015 saw him earn 'Man of the Match'. After extending his loan spell until the end of the season, the club was keen to sign him permanently.
After his loan spell at Oldham Athletic came to an end, Woodland was released by the club, ending his twelve years association with the club.
Chester F.C.
Woodland signed for Chester on non-contract basis in October 2015. Woodland made his Chester debut on 21 November 2015, coming on as a substitute for John Rooney in the 75th minutes, in a 2-1 loss against Woking.

International career
Between 2010 and 2012, Woodland was selected for England at youth level, playing 11 games for the U-16, U-17 & U-18 English representative teams.
In March 2015, the Philippine Football Federation invited him to join the Philippines national senior team training camp from the 23rd to the 30th of that month in Bahrain. However, he did not attend due to club commitments. Two months later, he was named in the Philippines' 23-man squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Bahrain and Yemen on 11 and 16 June respectively. Woodland missed the game against Bahrain due to delays in gaining international clearance, but made his debut against Yemen on 16 June 2015.
