The 2017 Stockholm attack occurred on 7 April 2017 at about 2pm local time (13:00 GMT) in Drottninggatan in central Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. According to SÄPO, a speeding lorry drove through crowds and smashed through the front of a department store, killing at least three individuals. Possibly eight wounded individuals. Initial reports mentioned that shots were fired during the incident at Fridhemsplan. The local police are treating the situation as a suspected terrorist attack.
