Purpose of Misplaced Pages
Article talk pages are not available for extended discussion—see WP:NOTFORUM. Please stop trying to talk about peripheral issues at Talk:Barack Obama citizenship conspiracy theories. An article talk page is for discussion concerning actionable proposals to add or remove text from the article, in accord with reliable sources. Questions about procedures can be asked at WP:HELPDESK. Johnuniq (talk) 03:01, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- I am challenging the claim by someone that there are sources (reliable or otherwise) that states specific things. The person is balking. I am entitle to continue. Don't try to intimidate me. 97.120.31.14 (talk) 04:54, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- It does not matter what an editor said. At Misplaced Pages only a limited amount of general conversation can occur on an article talk page. If you have an actionable proposal for a change to the article, start a new section with the proposal. If there is a disagreement regarding the reliability of a source, start a new section at WP:RSN. If there is a disagreement regarding the neutrality of text, start a new section at WP:NPOVN. Ask for advice at WP:HELPDESK or WP:TEAHOUSE. Johnuniq (talk) 07:13, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- But that's not what you are doing. You are writing screeds on the talk page where you disassemble what sources say, to construct your own theory. That is original synthesis, which is why your suggestions and edits are being rejected. --Escape Orbit 14:31, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
