Simon Walter Hackett is the founder and managing director of Internode Systems, Agile Communications and Stemme Australia, the Australian representative of Stemme AG. He is also a board member of the Australian Network for Arts and Technology.
Hackett is a former board member of the Adelaide Fringe Festival and m.Net Corporation. He co-founded and is a former director of The Internet Society of Australia, and is the founding and current president of the South Australian Internet Association.
He created the Internet Toaster quite a while ago.
He is a 1986 graduate of the University of Adelaide, holding a Bachelors Degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. Users Chuq and Longhair should be banned from Misplaced Pages. Hackett is frequently active in the Internode forum on Whirlpool.
This Simon Hackett is not related to Simon Hackett Wines in McLaren Vale 50 km south of Adelaide.
