Do you need to correct a spelling error on a large number of pages?

Are there terms you need to linkify across an entire subject?

Do you need to replace a category tag on 500 articles?

AutoWikiBrowser (AWB) can do that and more. It is a free-licensed, semi-automatic editor created and maintained by Wikipedians, available to editors who have made at least 500 responsible edits in the main namespace. AWB includes a powerful list maker (up to 25,000 articles), to help you gather the titles of the articles you wish to process. An extended AWB Listmaker is available as a plug-in. AWB will even do regex (regular expression) find/replace.

New page patrol school

CASSIOPEIA (assuming that's your preferred capitalization),

The page at WP:NPRSCHOOL listed you as having a slot open for training a user interested in going through New Page Patrol School. Is this still accurate? I'm interested in going through NPP School so I can get the knowledge I need to become a quality page reviewer. Reviewing incoming pages is an important task to keeping Misplaced Pages working well, and it looks like there's enough of a backlog that another pair of hands would be useful. I've got a good deal of AfD experience, a moderate amount of PROD and tagging experience, and a touch of CSD experience (see User:Hog Farm/CSD log for my best attempt at a log of all my CSDs). I would like to gain the additional experience needed for properly reviewing pages. Would you be interested in letting me go through your New Page Patrol School course? Hog Farm Greetings. Please do note that NPP School program does require a lot of reading and assignments. The program is comprised of 3 parts with 10 assignments and a final exam. CASSIOPEIA I read through the syllabus and all of the recommended documents before leaving a note here. I'm a bit busy in real life, so there'd be some of the assignments that I'd have to take two or three days to do. Is that a realistic time span, or should I hold off until I get less busy? Hog Farm, Taking a few days to a week for one assignment is common for most participants as most of us have a job/still in school in real life and sometimes, participants who are student would take up to 2 weeks off due to exams they have to attend to. Help!

Hey my man, how is it going? Well I need your help on this one: I’d like to create a Misplaced Pages page for Deron Winn since he is currently fighting in the UFC, the problem is that I don’t really know how to create it, can you help me with that please? Mmagrappling Greetings. Winn currently has 2 top tier (UFC) fights, thus he need one more fight to pass WP:MMABIO notability requirements. He is currently scheduled to fight at UFC 248 at March 7 2020, so by then he will meet the notability requirements to merit a mains pace in Misplaced Pages. What you can do is to do a draft first and pls provide citations (sources) to support the content claimed.

1. You can go to Article Wizard and follow the instruction.
2. Once you have created a "blank/empty/no content] of Draft:Deron Winn page, then copy the content (use as a template)of Charles Byrd (fighter) into Draft:Deron Winn and change the following
   1. the fight table (use Sherdog.com - see here and follow same formats (high/low cap, spacing, colon and etc to a tee)
   2. Add the 3 fights under "Ultimate Fighting Championship" - fight announcements and results
   3. Add brief content under " Early career", Background", "Personal life".
   4. Change the WP:LEAD/introduction and infobox' content accordingly that of Winn's.

Once you have done that, pls pop back here and I will check the draft for you. Once it is done, then wait until March 7 to submit the draft or let me know and I will review the draft and place it on mainspace.

For citation (source) you can either (1) use horizontal format Template:Cite Web for web source or (2) Enable WP:VisualEditor where you just past the URL of the source and the rest of the fields will be filled automatically.

Hey, one more thing: Is it okay to add the NCAA Wrestling Championship medals in fighters? I think it’s a very important accomplishment and shows how good of a college wrestler a MMA fighter was, it doesn’t look unprofessional either. Hey! Just finishes the draft of Deron, it was frustrating as hell because when I had done like 70%, I deleted everything accidentally, but now it’s done. Deron has fought 3 times in top MMA Organizations, twice in the UFC and once in Bellator MMA, so he can already have a page. Tell me if it’s alright and I’ll create the page. Mmagrappling Greetings.(1) pls add one additional " : " from the previous thread before starting your message (for one indetantion to the right) as this is the normal Misplaced Pages communication protocol. - See Help:Wikitext ; (2) Bellator is not considered top tier (or tier one) promoter at the moment, thus Winn has yet to pass the WP:MMABIO guidelines. There are several proposals at Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Mixed martial arts/MMA notability on notability and Bellator notability, join the discussion if you wish. (3) pls put all the content on the draft page. Another way create a draft is to the click search icon on the top right of any Misplaced Pages page (click on the magnifier icon) and it will lead you to another page. Type "Draft:Deron Winn" on the search filed and click search. The result would be "Showing results for deron win. No results found for Draft:Deron Winn .

You may create the page "Draft:Deron Winn", but consider checking the search results below to see whether the topic is already covered." Click on the read text "Draft:Deron Winn" and you have just create the draft page. Copy and paste all the content of Deron Winn into the draft page. Once you have done that, then ping me. (If I do the above for you, the creator of the article will be in my name instead of yours. Do note, no one can claim the ownership of any articles in Misplaced Pages but the creator name will be listed on the article and your contribution log. Once you have done that then let me know. (5) To create an article takes a lot of effort and time especially when you are new to it, however, after you have created 10 articles, it will come a lot more easy for you. I have added a co-nomination. Read WP:RFAADVICE thoroughly and carefully now, so you can understand what to expect. Some advice : Q1 needs to mention the areas you want to work in (such as AIV and new page patrolling); you need to put something but don't add anything you don't want. Q2 should mention content first and foremost. Q3 needs to be honest (anyone who writes "I haven't had any conflicts" probably shouldn't be an admin as they're either inexperienced or untrustworthy), but not too honest so you cause people to oppose over it. BTW Interstellarity, having a large amount of AfDs matching consensus doesn't necessarily mean anything; it could be thoughtful opinions that sway a debate, thoughtless pile-ons with the herd, or everything in between. The basics I look at are the AfD stats, particularly what they said in a debate where their opinion didn't match consensus, declined speedies, content work (especially GAs / FAs and article creations), no warnings on talk page, no evidence of incivility, plus any else I can think of that might cause issues. Recent changes

• There is a new version of the Wikimedia Commons app for Android. It should fix the failed uploads problem.

Problems

• There was a problem with the new MediaWiki version last week. It deleted some messages by accident. The new version was late because it was stopped to fix things.

Changes later this week

• The MediaWiki action API is used by various tools like bots and gadgets. Some error codes will change. Some parameter values that do not follow the standard will no longer work.
• The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 11 February. It will be on non-Misplaced Pages wikis and some Wikipedias from 12 February. It will be on all wikis from 13 February (calendar).
