List of largest cities throughout history
Made some changes: no source states that Constantinople reached 1 million. So it never reached or surpassed the claimed sizes of Alexandria, Rome or Baghdad. Also, most other cities claimed to surpass 1 million, the sources claim they reached ca. 1 million and not more.

Achaemenid Empire
Its not quite right to claim that Parthians were "Iranian elites" who "reclaimed" control, as they were from a different region than the Achaemenid Persians. Also, most regions of the Achaemenid empire were never under Parthian rule such as Egypt, Cyrenaica, Syria, Palestine, Cappadocia, Armenia, Pontus, Indus valley, etc, most of these regions eventually became Roman provinces.

Politics
the "East" never existed as a unified entity, so I think the term "non-Western cultures" might be more accurate to cover examples of thinkers operating outside of the Western world

Carnegie donated 350 million from 1901 to 1919, so instead of converting it into 2021 dollars based on 1919 prices, its more accurate to approximate the mid-year which is the CPI index of the inflation calculator most closely approximate to 1913

Alexandria Eschate
it's not a academic consensus that "Dayuan" referred to Alexandria Eschate and there are not records of Alexandria Eschate being referred as such being occupied by the Chinese at some point, so this speculation requires a minimum of specific citation

I started a project to do an overhaul of this article and other articles in pre-modern economic history, based on recent research. I note also that transfers of taxes to Italy from the provinces cannot increase yjr GDP in Italy, as the accounting concept of GDP does not include these transfers (these are included in GNP)

History of Baghdad
Ian Morris has produced more recently careful estimates for Bagdah which are more realistic for a medieval city, they are consistent with the archeological evidence that states the build-up area was 550 to 850 hectares, still was the largest city in the world outside of China at the time

Parthian Empire
Unsourced characterization of the Parthians as "a major power," so I substituted it for the neutral term "State", also unsourced the claim it was a center of "trade and commerce," which historians provide this characterization? There is no foundation for the claim of Parthia being Rome's main enemy overall given that the majority of Roman legions were deployed in Europe, it was likely Rome's main enemy in Asia
