Foreign players
Southeast Asian (SEA) players who have acquired at least 3 international caps for their senior national team can play in the Super League without any restrictions. However, SEA players with less than 3 international caps must be approved by the Malaysian Football League (MFL).
MFL announced that teams can register up to ten imports, but the number of foreign players on the pitch is not more than six. The 6 import players must consist of 4 foreign players, 1 Asian player, and 1 ASEAN player. Only 1 import player can be on the bench. Clubs participating in AFC competition are allowed to register 10 foreigners. Later, the MFL added a maximum registration quota of 12 foreign players, only to the clubs that involved in the AFC competition.
Note: Flags indicate national team as defined under FIFA eligibility rules. Players may hold more than one FIFA and non-FIFA nationality.
- Players name in bold indicates the player is registered during the mid-season transfer window.
- ^1 Foreign players who left their clubs or were de-registered from playing squad due to medical issues or other matters.
