The 2025 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships (2025 WJHC) was the 49th edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship, held from December 26, 2024 to January 5, 2025. The United States won their second consecutive championship, defeating Finland 4–3 in overtime of the gold medal game.
Background
The tournament returned to Ottawa, which last hosted the 2009 competition. This marked the 19th time that Canada hosted the WJC and fourth time in six years. The tournament games were played at the Canadian Tire Centre, home of the Ottawa Senators, and TD Place, home of the Ottawa 67's and Ottawa Charge.
