Californium(III) oxyiodide is a inorganic compound of californium, iodine, and oxygen with the formula CfOI.

Synthesis

Californium iodide is obtained by heating Cf2O3 in HI.

The compound is isostructural with CfOCl and CfOBr. All are prepared by the same method.

Physical properties

The compound forms dark crystals.
