Makhdoom (Arabic: مخدوم, meaning one who is served and sometimes spelled Makhdum,Bengali: মখদুম, romanizedMokhdumis) is an Arabic word meaning "Teacher of Sunnah." It is a title for Pirs, and landlords in South and Central Asia. It is not only a title, but considered a castle/ tribe in Punjab Pakistan.
