Bishop?

I can't trace that there has ever been a bishop here, so presumably "Cathedral" is an honorific title to mark its importance. HeartofaDog (talk) 17:53, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

I rather think it is just a misunderstanding of its Japanese name, Tenshudo (lit.house of Our Lord). While Oura cathedral has over 200,000 Ghits), people who get involved into this church rather prefer the name "Oura Catholic Church" (with 18,200 Ghits). It is formally addressed "Church of the Twenty-six Martyrs" (cf. Twenty-six_Martyrs_of_Japan). Thus I propose a move it to one of them, while I have no idea which is the best currently. --Aphaia (talk) 18:38, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
