Tawafuq (arabic:توافق) It is one of the initiatives of the Ministry of Labor and the Saudi Human Resources Development Fund. The program aims to achieve the principle of equal opportunities between people with disabilities and citizens and to enable them to find job opportunities suitable for their abilities and qualifications, while providing facilitation and support services to them.
Public Investment Fund
Main article: Public Investment FundThe Public Investment Fund (PIF; Arabic: صندوق الإستثمارات العامة) is the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia. It is among the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world with total estimated assets of at least $500 billion. It was created in 1971 for the purpose of investing funds on behalf of the government of Saudi Arabia.
The Main Idea
Support and enable the workforce with disabilities to find job opportunities suitable for their abilities and qualifications, while providing facilitation and support services for them.
Activities
- Encouraging and employing persons with disabilities (able to work) in the private and non-profit sectors
- Providing advice and support specialized in disability and guiding guides for that.
- Urging the harmonization of work environments to become adaptive to the needs of persons with disabilities through a harmonization certificate.
- Support, awareness and guidance for effective employment of persons with disabilities in the labor market.
- Monitoring and documenting the data of job seekers and persons with disabilities who are employed.
Principles
- Rights This principle works to achieve equal opportunities for treatment by following an approach that eliminates discrimination, preference or exclusion.
- Inclusion This principle works on the application of the principle of inclusion in the employment, training and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities through respecting the individual and dealing with him with value no matter what.
- Skills This principle calls for focusing on identifying and knowing the capabilities of persons with disabilities and developing their skills to enable them to work in proportion to these abilities and skills that support building a professional personality
- Adaptive environment This principle works to provide support services and accommodations to achieve ease of access needed by persons with disabilities in their work environments to achieve independence and full adaptation to perform the tasks assigned to them and thus everyone gets equal opportunities
- Services This principle requires in the Human Resources Development Fund to support the provision of job opportunities to match the ambition and desires of job seekers with disabilities by using all available employment channels
