Bio

Karl-Henrik started playing the drums at three years of age and started to take his first lessons shortly after. At 11 he started private studies with the renowned Swedish drummer Petur Östlund.

In 2005, at the age of 12, Ousbäck was invited to be a featured artist at the Bass and Drum Festival in Stockholm. Some of the other performers include Virgil Donati, Ian Paice and Morgan Ågren. The same year he also made his first appearance at Fasching Jazz Club in Stockholm. In 2008 he was accepted to participate as the youngest student ever at the Sligo Jazz Project to study for Paul Wertico (Pat Metheny Group) and the year after he was invited back as a special guest. Ousbäck was a student at the Royal Collage if Music in Stockholm from 2012 to 2015. After collage he moved to Copenhagen, Denmark for a year. His critically acclaimed debut album Somewhere and Somewhen was released in September 2017. Ousbäck has been featured as a drummer on Swedish television in the drama series Vår tid är nu and in Swedish news satire program Svenska Nyheter.
