World Egg Day is a day celebrated on the second Friday of October every year.

Background

The International Egg Commission (IEC) was established in 1964 to establish eggs as a high-quality and readily available non-vegetarian food in the world. Currently the membership of this organization is 80. The organization organized the first 'World Egg Day' in the year 1996 in Vienna, the capital of Austria, with the aim of meeting the demand for animal meat, building a healthy and talented nation and above all raising public awareness about the quality of eggs, which has since been celebrated every year on the second Friday of October. Currently, 'World Egg Day' is celebrated in 40 countries around the world, including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, India, etc.
